My goal for April was "celebration"- which seems a bit silly because that is all that we seem to do as a family: holidays, birthdays and random Tuesdays- we are always together to celebrate something. But that is how we family and I wouldn't have it any other way. Rob and Jen came home for the week and we end up celebrating three birthdays (Rob, me and Kinsey), Easter and the fact that the Jays won a game. We also watched 3 movies (Beauty and the Beast, Moana and Boss Baby) and ate so much cake. It was been an eventful week:
There was a part in the movie, Boss Baby where the big brother talks about what it's like having a little brother. Whilst explaining the concept of family, he talks about how brothers and sisters will always be there beside you: Christmas/Birthdays.......and that you will always be surrounded by love. Well he said something like that, I have a really bad memory and had to pee. But it was poignant and it made me think and then it made me smile. Because that is what we have created in our little world and knowing that Willis and Lucia will grow up in that tight-knit family gives me all the feels.

ReplyDeleteLove this! Some of the faces you've captured in the picture are priceless; it definitely looks like a close knit family. I often think that about my sister and I- friends may pass in and out of our lives, but we will always have each other throughout all life celebrations. Sounds so cheesy, but it really is something for all the feels!

ReplyDeleteYes - family is so important. All my memories from growing up of big events have always been filled with family and friends, and I'm so blessed that we have not just one but two boys so they will always have a sibling to love and who loves them.

ReplyDeleteI’m dying to see Beauty and the Beast and Boss Baby. Moana is now of my favorite movies of all time. It has such a positive message for kids and adults. I’m going to take myself to see Boss Baby sometime this week. Family is so important, so of my favorite memories from childhood is when my entire family was together hanging out and enjoying ourselves.
