Welcome to week three of the Style Perspective, last week we did the white pants thing. And it snow. Actually it has been snowing ever since. Hmmmmmmmm. I love seeing how ladies of different ages, sizes, career paths and climate styled the white pant!

Also I have really been loving seeing how different women style their outfits on Instagram. Here are my top three outfits found either on Instagram or in texts sent to me:

You'll have to head over to the Blended Blog to see how had the top clicks last week but also to see who we're taking our inspiration from this week. We're working on patterns and neutrals today, which worked out fabulously for me because it was a chance for me to style the new dress I just got from Anthropologie. This isn't how I wanted to style it, really we thought we had spring in the bag, but no, in typical Saskatchewan fashion, it snowed. All week. So I had to adapt the dress with tights and tall boots. Sigh. I have to admit, the pretty falling snow was nice to photograph!

So, as I said, I wanted to wear this initially with bare legs and nude flats, but snow. Winter number 3 of 2016, sigh. So I took a couple shots indoors........I wish I could take my pictures at the beginning of the day when my makeup is still somewhat on.

And for a little bit of fun, I should share that right after that little in the house photoshoot- I let Lucia and Willis loose with the remote and timer. They were happily entertained for 30 minutes and I successfully made supper in the time. Bonus? They had their clothes on in ALL of the photos! Let's not talk about the time Willis found the mini Ipad video camera and proceeded to dance around naked.......

ReplyDeleteLove, love that dress! Funny I've never bought anything from Anthro...I really need to change that, they have such cute stuff. and the kids dancing, SO freaking cute! My kids LOVE That stupid gummy bear song. Have you found the duck song yet? They love that one too. It's about a duck and lemonade...go look for it. haha.
ReplyDeleteGreat dress! It's such a fun print!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is SO pretty, you are gorgeous, and I love the snow pictures. I'm sure you're tired of snow, but the pictures are so good. I think you should include kid camera every week because I was very entertained :)!
ReplyDeleteHow cold were you taking those photos?!?! I am cold just looking at you. I actually quite like the dress with leggings and boots! I need a spring patterned top. Add it to the list. Along with flats that lace up and a denim dress.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit Jordan!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Your Tights are close to bare legs...
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful patterned dress! I love the swing of your dress and the bold, bright abstract print. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHehe Marissa has that same plaid dress too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that patterned dress. I tend to steer clear of patterns but I am TRYING to do a better job.
OH I LOVE THIS. The swing, the pattern, Lucia, everything.
ReplyDeleteI love that dress! I know snow is annoying - but your snow pictures are so pretty. Your kiddos are too cute - and Lucia has the fashion poses down. (I had to laugh a bit at the beginning of your post - I also wrote we were on week 3 - and then realized - we are actually on week 4; how can it be week 4 already?!?)

ReplyDeleteExactly and close to my white shade of legs too.
ReplyDeleteI know, it's going to so quick and I am really enjoying myself, more than I thought I would. I think it's the only having to do one outfit per week that makes me turn it into a fun game!
ReplyDeleteit's a happy dance outfit, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhy is kids' clothing so cute. Definitely try some patterns!
ReplyDeletewin-win, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteI agree..I think it's coming to Vegas with me. WHite legs and all.
ReplyDeleteEven though that is a floral print on your dress, I could still see dancing, flurrying snowflakes in it, too. Your snow pictures are magical. But it is time for that snow to go!
ReplyDeleteI love this Anthropologie dress on you, super pretty and perfect for spring! I love pics with snow, hopefully you'll get spring weather soon! I know how you feel though we have a snow/ice storm today in Toronto! Hoping it gets better here soon. Thanks for hosting & for stopping by:)

That dress is perfect!! You look beautiful....and it looks great with the flats and the boots!! A multi-season dress!!
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% with Katile Michell that the dress is multi-seasonal as it looks great with boots and flats. It can also be dressed up for a date night with some heels or worn casually around the city during our summer festivals. Love the dress and you are all making me want to get out my spring/summer wardrobe even more than I did before, but I am just not feeling it with the slush and the snow.
ReplyDeleteLove this dress- that print is so, so pretty!

ReplyDeleteI love all the colours on that dress. And it looks good styled both ways.
ReplyDeletePS. I love those earrings!!! Soo cute!
Wow! I canNOT believe it's still so wintry up in your parts! Those pics came out GREAT and I love the one where you're catching snowflakes on your tongue. I do that EVERY time I go to Colorado. That dress looks fabulous on you and I like both ways you styled it! Sei bellissima!

Making the Most of Every Day
Love that dress! And I agree, boo winter. We got a bunch of snow yesterday/today and I'm totally over it.
ReplyDeleteSnow? No bueno. But that dress? Amazing! It pairs well with boots or flats! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteYour watercolor swing floral dress is gorgeous. While I love it with bare legs (of course) it looks just as nice in the Wintery outfit with the gray tights and boots. Lucia is a pretty girl with a very pretty name. Thanks for linking up, Deena. =)
ReplyDeleteI love that swing dress, gorgeous and what fun photos too.
